In 2026, the Audi Q9 is set to make a spectacular entry into the full-size SUV market. With titanic dimensions and cutting-edge technology, it aims to redefine automotive luxury. Imagine a flagship on wheels, combining space, comfort, and hybrid powertrains, all bearing the Audi signature.
A giant on four wheels
With the Audi Q9, the Four Rings brand is preparing to enter a new dimension. This monumental SUV, which is expected to be more spacious than a Q7, will fill a gap in Audi’s range that has so far been unexplored. Scheduled for 2026, it will position itself at the top of the line, facing formidable competitors such as the BMW X7 and the Mercedes GLS.
Our rendering attempts to envision the final shapes of the Q9, anticipating a model focused on luxury and space, integrating powerful petrol and diesel hybrid powertrains. An enticing promise for enthusiasts of high-end SUVs.
A style that commands respect
Based on the spy photos of the prototypes, the rendering of the Audi Q9 presents an enlarged version of the future Q7. The front end is marked by a large single frame grille, taller and more imposing than current models, flanked by divided headlight clusters that give it a determined look.

The daytime running lights, thin and sharp, are cleverly positioned at the top, while the main headlights, integrated lower in the bumper, follow Audi’s new distinctive design. This stylistic choice gives the Q9 a decidedly modern appearance.
The side view of the rendering highlights impressive proportions, with a high, horizontal roofline optimised to maximise interior space. The profile appears sleek, with taut surfaces and pronounced wheel arches, while the overall length is expected to significantly exceed that of the Q7, which is already close to five metres.
At the rear, we envision a LED light signature spanning the entire width, illuminating the Audi logo at the centre of the tailgate, a contemporary touch that will quickly become emblematic of the brand’s recent models.
Hybrid performance and raw power
From a technical standpoint, the Q9 will be based on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), already used for the new A5, Q5, A6, and for the upcoming generation of Q7. This architecture is compatible with a variety of petrol, diesel, mild hybrid, and plug-in hybrid powertrains, thus offering a wide range of choices for future owners.

Audi Q9: the spy photos
At launch, it is likely that the Q9 will be offered with electrified V6 units, but do not be surprised if an SQ9 version equipped with a biturbo V8 of around 600 hp appears later. This version would be easily identifiable thanks to a specific body kit, oversized brakes, and four exhaust outlets that will proudly unleash the power.
Inside, although not yet visible in the current renderings, the Q9 is expected to offer a spacious cabin, potentially configurable for seven seats. High-quality materials and Audi’s latest digital solutions should be present, promising unparalleled comfort.
Prices are expected to exceed those of the Q7 and Q8, with a starting price approaching 100,000 euros. A significant investment for a vehicle that is set to become a true monument on the road.

While awaiting official confirmations, the Q9 positions itself as a key element of Audi’s strategy for 2026. If you are passionate about luxury SUVs and are waiting for a model capable of competing with the best, the Audi Q9 might just be the one you have been waiting for.
