BMW M4 GT3 EVO and M4 GT4 EVO: Ready for Action
The BMW M4 GT3 EVO and M4 GT4 EVO will embark on their second competitive season in 2026 after a highly successful debut. The M4 GT3 EVO secured over 80 victories along with more than 100 podium finishes. In tandem with its predecessor, the M4 GT4 EVO achieved over 100 wins and around 150 additional podiums. This year, the focus is on confirming and ideally improving upon these remarkable statistics.
Racing Series Participation
In 2026, the BMW M4 GT3 EVO is set to compete in 15 different racing series. In Germany, it will participate in the DTM, ADAC GT Masters, and Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS). Internationally, it will race in the GT World Challenge across Europe, North America, and Asia, as well as in the Intercontinental GT Challenge and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Other notable series include Italian GT, British GT, China GT, Japanese Super GT, VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, 24H Series, and GT Cup Series.
Meanwhile, the BMW M4 GT4 EVO will be featured in twelve racing series spanning Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia. In Germany, it will take part in NLS events, the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, and ADAC GT4 Germany. European competitions include the GT4 European Series, British GT, GT4 Italia, Dutch Supercar Challenge, and GT4 South. In North America, it will compete in both IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and GT4 America. Asian and Australian races include China GT and GT4 Australia. Select events from the 24H Series are also on the agenda.
BMW M Racing Academy: Promising Starts for New Drivers
The BMW M Racing Academy continues to develop young talents in its second year with the “Class of 2026.” Two of the three supported drivers kicked off their seasons successfully last weekend. Ryder Quinn (20) from Australia drove his BMW M4 GT4 for Thunder Buddies/Black Diamond Team to a victory and a third place in the Silver-Am class at the season opener of GT4 Australia at Phillip Island. “The team performed flawlessly,” stated Quinn. “I’m thrilled to reward their efforts with trophies. The BMW M4 GT4 was exceptional throughout.”
Josh Green (23), last year’s Pro-Am champion in GT4 America, has stepped up to the Silver category this season. At Sonoma, he finished fourth overall in race two alongside teammate Bruno Colombo in their #98 BMW M4 GT4 EVO from Random Vandals Racing, securing third place in the Silver class. “Sonoma treated us well,” remarked Green. “We gained valuable points and a podium finish. The pace was strong—I’m excited about continuing to learn and improve.”
The third driver of the “Class of 2026” is Thomi Rackl (18) from Germany, who will begin his campaign in the GT4 European Series post-Easter with Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport at Le Castellet.
Recent Achievements: Victories Across Multiple Series
GT4 America (28th-29th March): Random Vandals Racing celebrated a class win in Pro-Am along with two victories in the Am class using the BMW M4 GT4 EVO during the Sonoma races. Other teams achieving podium finishes included Auto Technic Racing, Stephen Cameron Racing, BimmerWorld, ACI Motorsports, and Flying Lizard Motorsports.
GT America (28-29 March): Craig Lumsden (USA) clinched first place in both races of the GT4 class driving the #610 BMW M4 GT4 EVO for Flying Lizard Motorsports at Sonoma.
NLS (21st March): At the season opener on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife (GER), BMW teams secured seven class wins including an overall victory for ROWE Racing and an SPX win for the BMW M3 Touring 24H. Notably, Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport achieved class success during the NLS debut of the BMW M2 Racing under customer management.
