The winter break in Formula 1 does not only mean rest and reflection, but also a true metamorphosis for certain teams. As new regulations loom on the horizon, Haas, Red Bull, Mercedes, and Williams are taking the opportunity to refresh their brand image and attract attention on the grid in 2026.

Haas: the partnership with Toyota becomes official

Haas has decided to integrate “TGR”, for Toyota Gazoo Racing, into its logo, thus officially announcing its new title sponsor for the 2026 season. This TGR emblem now stands as a central element in the team’s new visual identity, while retaining Haas’s iconic colours: red, white, and black. A palette that evokes the fervour of competition, like a flame ready to ignite the track.

The team principal, Ayao Komatsu, commented on this partnership after its official announcement at the end of last year: “It is obviously a privilege to strengthen our relationship with TGR through this title sponsorship agreement. Our collaboration, thus far, has met all our expectations.”

He also added: “It has been highlighted by our successful TPC tests this season, but many other things have also been set up behind the scenes, including the development and installation of the simulator at our Banbury facility for 2026.” This suggests a stronger Haas team, ready to compete on the global stage.

Red Bull: a subtle evolution

Red Bull is preparing for a major change in 2026 with its partnership with Ford to develop the new Red Bull Powertrains power unit. Under the leadership of its new team principal, Laurent Mekies, appointed after Christian Horner’s departure in 2025, the team has undergone a slight rebranding. A bit like a chameleon changing colour while remaining true to itself.

The “Red Bull” text in the logo now features a white outline. An aesthetic choice already seen on historic models such as the Red Bull RB6, which leads some fans to wonder if the livery for the upcoming season might also evolve. After all, monotony has never been this iconic team’s strong suit.

Mercedes: a new look for 2026

Mercedes, for its part, is also bringing a discreet yet noticeable update for 2026. The AMG and Mercedes brands are gaining prominence and are now displayed above a clearer reference to its title partner Petronas. The latter is also debuting a new typography that gives the overall look a fresh touch. Much like a new haircut that makes all the difference, this subtle change could make waves on the grid.

Williams: a renewal inspired by history

The ‘W’ in the Williams logo has been replaced by a modern reinterpretation, inspired by the original ‘Forward W’ concept envisioned by Sir Frank Williams in 1977. The team is also changing its name, from Williams Racing to Williams F1 Team. A return to its roots that could rejuvenate a team that has significantly marked the history of Formula 1.

“I am proud that starting next year, we will be known as the Atlassian Williams F1 Team, with a logo inspired by our founder Sir Frank Williams and closely linked to our decades of success,” stated team principal James Vowles. This is not just a change of label; it is a reaffirmation of their heritage and a tribute to past achievements.

“As a team, we are driven by our history, excited about our future, and determined to write a new victorious chapter in the history of Williams.”

With the start of pre-season testing on 11 February and the presentations of the cars a little later in the month, it won’t be long before we see this new identity on track. Let us hope these changes bear fruit and that the teams are ready to fight for victory on the track. The 2026 season promises to be full of twists and turns!
