Demand Dynamics

Despite subdued demand in China, the BMW Group managed to maintain sales momentum in other regions. Jochen Goller, a board member at BMW AG responsible for Customer, Brands, and Sales, commented, “In 2025, amidst a challenging environment, we sold more vehicles than the previous year, particularly in electrified segments.” He highlighted that battery-electric vehicles made up around a quarter of total sales in Europe, with BEVs and PHEVs combined accounting for over 40% of sales in the region.

Electrification Strategy

Electrified vehicles represented 26% of total BMW Group sales worldwide, with fully-electric vehicles comprising approximately 18%. The brand is set to introduce its NEUE KLASSE in 2026, alongside several new models including the BMW X5, BMW 3 Series, and BMW 7 Series.
