Significant Art Car Collection on Display

Munich/Lyngby. As part of the BMW Art Car World Tour celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic series, Classic Car House (CCH) in Lyngby, north of Copenhagen, will host an exceptional exhibition featuring eleven legendary BMW Art Cars. The event runs from 27 March to 21 June 2026, marking a notable intersection of art and automotive culture in Northern Europe.

Northern Europe’s largest BMW Art Car Exhibition opens at Classic Car House in Denmark. Eleven iconic BMW Art Cars and original artist models merge the worlds of culture and motorsports.

Unique Cultural Experience

Niels Folmann, CEO of Classic Car House, emphasises the importance of automobiles as part of cultural heritage. “The automobile is an essential part of our cultural heritage – just as art is,” he states. This exhibition is the first comprehensive presentation of these cultural icons, providing visitors with a rare opportunity to appreciate how renowned artists have transformed iconic BMW models into canvases.

Historic Gathering of Art Cars

This exhibition showcases the largest collection of BMW Art Cars ever displayed together in Northern Europe. It highlights a dialogue between art and technology, illustrating how innovation flourishes at the intersection of various disciplines. Stefan Teuchert, President and CEO of BMW Group Northern Europe, notes that this reflects their long-term commitment to cultural engagement.

Original Artist Models Featured

For the first time, ten original BMW Art Car models, or maquettes, will be part of the exhibition. These scale models not only depict the creative process behind each car but also reveal how artists like Alexander Calder and Andy Warhol conceptualised their designs.
