In a world where technology and practicality intertwine, Audi makes a strong impact with its integration of EasyPark and Ryd applications into its multimedia system. Imagine being able to pay for your parking or fuel without even stepping out of your vehicle, as if you were in a science fiction movie. This is now a reality thanks to this innovation that promises to transform our driving experience.
A step towards automotive digitalization
, a name that evokes both luxury and performance, is no longer content to dazzle us with its elegant cars. The brand is embarking on a bold digitalization strategy, enriching its portfolio of embedded applications with two services that, let’s admit, will simplify drivers’ daily lives: EasyPark for parking and Ryd for refueling, charging, and washing. Who would have thought that a dashboard could become our best ally in avoiding the hassles of urban life?
New Audi applications: simplified management
With these new features, Audi positions itself as a pioneer. EasyPark allows parking management via the MMI screen, without the need for a smartphone or card. Imagine yourself driving in circles, desperately searching for a spot: that time is over. The application covers over 60,000 parking zones in about 1,300 European cities, whether on the street or in private parking lots. Once parked, just a few gestures are needed to start the digital meter, and even extend your time from the screen, stress-free.
EasyPark: an integrated meter
EasyPark
transforms parking management into child’s play. Thanks to GPS triggers, as soon as you stop in a compatible area and the gear selector is in “P”, a pop-up appears on the MMI screen. It’s as if your car is whispering to you: “Relax, I’ve got this!” As the end of the prepaid time approaches, a simple alert on your smartphone allows you to extend the session directly from your Audi. And when you restart, the session closes automatically. No more forgotten tickets under the mat!

Ryd: your all-in-one service
But that’s not all! The Ryd application combines three services into one: fuel payment, electric charging, and car washing. In Europe, it covers over 10,000 gas stations and more than a million charging points. In Germany, for example, it partners with giants like Esso and covers about 90% of the charging stations in the country. A true technological gem that saves you valuable time.
The operation remains simple: as you approach a compatible station, a pop-up opens in the MMI. Just select the station, enter the pump number, and choose your payment method. After refueling, a confirmation message appears on the screen before you hit the road again. For electric charging, the principle is similar: the application identifies compatible stations and even activates battery preconditioning via the e-tron route planner. In short, a truly tailored service!

The Audi Store: an ever-richer ecosystem
These new features are integrated into an Audi Store that is rapidly expanding. Beyond entertainment with applications like Disney+ or Spotify, Audi focuses on practical services. Developed with Cariad, the software subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the Audi Store is designed to be intuitive. It doesn’t even require a smartphone to operate. Users only need a myAudi account and an active data connection to enjoy these revolutionary services.
Applications are installed directly from the car’s interface. A simple account creation allows you to register payment methods and start using the services. One can say that Audi has succeeded in transforming our car into a true center of digital services.
A promising future for connected driving
So, what do we think of this advancement? Audi proves that it is possible to combine comfort, technology, and practicality while driving. By integrating these services directly into its MMI infotainment system, the brand has not only simplified our journeys; it has also redefined our relationship with driving. These innovations could well mark a turning point in the automotive industry, where digital is becoming a must.
